Alice and the White Rabbit

Alice and the White Rabbit. And my costume is entirely glued together! It surpassed my expectations and survived two parties already. Neat.

And! I had little teacups that I could store in a pocket in my apron.

Apple Chunk and Chocolate Chip Spice Loaf

Apple chunk and chocolate chip spice loaf thing. I baked several of these last week, and made one as a gift for a coworker. Quite tasty, but I have to stop eating them because they make me shaky and weak. So does juice. So does anything with sugar or a lot of bread. I think I might need to regulate my eating better or go consult with a doctor. Hmph.

Molehill Tonight

On Tuesday night, after a fabulous dinner of Vietnamese followed by the best ice cream ever with my brother, we went to Plush to celebrate Cory's 21st. It was dark, the bar was empty, we were serenaded by a French lady, and I love the fuzzy wallpaper. What a sentence that was!

The Greek Festival

It's that time of year again. Where we stand in line to get in, stand in line to get our food, stand in line to search for a table so that we may feast upon Greek foods, watch Greek dancers and drink late into the evening. Mmm...baklava.

Happy Birthday To Me?

For my birthday, I made cupcakes to give to people. Any excuse to make cupcakes is a good one!

P.S. It was a Martha Stewart recipe and it came out dense, uncakey and not very sweet. What did I do wrong?

Dark Chocolate Sorbet

While I was borrowing my coworker's ice cream maker, I also made a small batch of dark chocolate sorbet. This stuff pretty much melted before I could photograph it. It was so rich and tasty that it didn't stand a chance surviving very long in my freezer, either. I considered asking for an ice cream maker of my own for my birthday, but good thing I didn't. The last thing I need is to have fabulous ice cream around all the time.
