Port de Soller to Barcelona

Hopped off the boat one day in Port de Soller on my break to poke around town for a few minutes. Spotted this trolley, but there wasn't time to ride it. There's also a scenic train ride from Palma to Soller that I'm dying to take. I'm accumulating quite the list of things I'd like to do when I return.

The view out our porthole in Soller. I love how the seagulls swarm the fishing boats.

After Soller, we went to Ibiza for the afternoon. We anchored out in this little bay and unfortunately this is all that we got to see of the island.

We left Ibiza for Barcelona. We docked right near where fire had recently devoured a boat, the remains of its hull poking above the waterline like an iceberg indicating the sunken boat below. It was a very eerie reminder of how real the threat of fire is.

Our first few days in Barcelona were rainy and overcast. One night we had gone out for a walk, but found ourselves running back to the boat in a torrential downpour. It was quite a rush!

And, if you're curious, our chef has a blog too, Notes from Afloat! You should check it out for a more elegantly worded version of our adventures.

Jess -

I'm really proud of you for doing this. After we spoke at the coffee shop, I told Dave how jealous I was that you would be traveling the world! I absolutely LOVE the images you've taken through the porthole in your room (I assume, that's where it is). Keep taking them! I'd love to collect them all! Hope all is well! Have fun...
