Viareggio and Guest Food

I'm back! Coming to you with a brand new Macbook and everything. I'm home right now visiting my family and we're celebrating Thanksgiving tonight. The turkey is in the oven and I baked a few pies. It's nice to be home.

As people here have been keen to point out, I am however, very far behind in blogging so I have some catching up to do. This photo is from our return to Viareggio. After having been on the boat for a few weeks straight, I spent my afternoon break enjoying the wooded preserve unwinding. This guy rode his bike up and unpacked his lunch.

This was my view from the log that I laid on that afternoon. I think I spent just about the whole of two hours watching the clouds as they meandered through the trees. It was a much needed break.

People are always asking me what the food aboard is like, so here are two examples from the galley. I believe this was a roasted vegetable napoleon being prepared for the guests.

And here we have strawberry shortcake with meringue chips. Yum!

And I think the turkey is about done, so off to dinner!

the Death of a Computer

Well folks, it was inevitable. All season long I'd encountered people with computer problems and just crossed my fingers that (knock on wood) my computer would make it through unscathed. Sadly, it didn't. I plan on getting it fixed sometime within the next few weeks so that I can get back to downloading my pictures and posting to my blog. Sorry for my silence.
