Vancouver, British Columbia Part Two

Totem poles at Stanley Park, Vancouver

To continue, more of Stanley Park in Vancouver!

Stanley Park, Vancouver

Among a large network of trails, there's a trail along the water, looping around the park.

Stanley Park, Vancouver

The trails attract bikers, rollerbladers and runners. As with the rest of the city, there were many families riding rented bikes everywhere. After a mostly cloudy day, it was as if the entire city was collectively outside enjoying the unveiling of the sun, welcoming the good weather.

Oh yeah, and walking tourists like me. The trails pass an array of park beaches with lovely views.

Was treated to a fabulous sunset along the trail.

Inukshuks at Stanley Park, Vancouver, Canada

Inukshuks! Rock stacking is apparently all the vogue in Canada. Stacks are everywhere, including their Winter Olympics logo. This little guy is even anatomically endowed.

I mentioned stacks were everywhere, right?

Some inukshuks are pretty amazingly balanced.

A view of the Lost Lagoon looking at downtown Vancouver at sundown.

Swan at sunset, Stanley Park, Vancouver

And, I swear the mosquitoes that came out after the sunset were as big as this swan! Yoiks! Stay tuned for part three.
