Ft. Lauderdale to St. Martin

Pulling back into Ft. Lauderdale, under the 17th street bridge.

Went for a nice run along the Ft. Lauderdale beachfront.

This was our crew's Christmas tree. (Yes, I realize I'm nearly six months behind in blogging now....) Had a lovely Christmas in Ft. Lauderdale with the crew who didn't go home for the holiday.

Went to go watch some Jai alai, a sport I hadn't ever heard of before.

Saw Avatar at the IMAX. Twice.

Went around the dock and snipped greenery for table settings.

And set pretty tables for the guests with them.

We headed to the Caribbean for the season.

Sunrise in the Caribbean!

Photographed the fruit tarts the sous chef made for the guests.

On our first day off in St. Martin, we attempted to gallivant around the island on foot. Ultimately we didn't get too far, but we did have a good adventure.

Saw some beaches.

And some interestingly worded menus. "Moisturizers"? Either way, the soup was good.

The Isle de Sol marina's entrance is formed by a narrow drawbridge that opens a few times a day to allow boats to pass.

People gather at the bar beneath the drawbridge to watch the boats come and go.

La Sucriere, the best French bakery and Boulangerie-Patisserie on the island was right down the street from the dock. What a treat!

Best place to get a croissant and cappuccino and overlook the bay!
